Artist Statement

The Eordaia basin is a landscape in continuous transition—from a vast wetland, to an endless grain-producing plain, to open-cast mines and energy infrastructures. At the same time, the human body, in direct interdependence with the landscape, both shapes it and is shaped by it, experiencing mobility, prosperity, discontinuity, and loss. People have the right to remain in the place where they were born and which they have loved; we seek to safeguard the memory of this place, and together we must envision the landscape we want.
